The Success Story of Mr. Kunwar Vikram Singh and Ducotech India Pvt. Ltd.

When the world went into an unexpected halt in 2020, many businesses closed their doors, unsure of the future. But for one man, it was the moment to turn challenges into opportunities. Mr. Kunwar Vikram Singh, an Electrical Engineer with more than a decade of industry experience, decided to step into entrepreneurship with just Rs 16 lakhs and a vision. Today, only a few years later, his company Ducotech India Pvt. Ltd., has not only secured its place among the top five players in the Indian MEP industry, but also become a trusted partner for some of the biggest names in business.

The Humble Beginnings

Born with a passion for electrical engineering, Kunwar Vikram Singh graduated in 2007 and soon began his professional journey. He worked with industry leaders like Jackson Solar for six years and gained valuable experience with other companies in the power sector. These years gave him hands-on knowledge about the complexities of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) services, the demands of industrial clients, and the importance of timely delivery.

Armed with this background, Singh laid the foundation of Ducotech India Pvt. Ltd. in Noida during the most uncertain year of this century. At the start, Ducotech only offered EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) solutions. Yet, his determination to build a company based on discipline, efficiency, and quality soon made Ducotech stand apart.

“When I started, people thought it was a risky move,” Singh recalls. “But I strongly believe that risk is worth it. Even if you fail, you learn something valuable. That learning becomes your biggest asset for the future.”

Building a Legacy of Trust

Ducotech’s growth in just four years has been phenomenal. From a modest beginning, the company achieved a turnover of Rs 108 crore in 2024–25 and is now confidently eyeing the  Rs 500 crore mark in the next five years. This vision is supported by the company’s expansion into LT panel manufacturing and the genset business, a clear indicator that Ducotech is not afraid to diversify and evolve with changing demands.

The company’s unique strength lies in its comprehensive solutions—from electrical design and engineering to project execution and maintenance. Ducotech caters to diverse industries such as data centers, hospitals, industrial plants, and commercial establishments. With certifications like ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and recognition as an A-Class MEP contractor, Ducotech has become a name synonymous with reliability.

“Our USP is 100% timely delivery, and that is possible only because of our strong adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),” Singh emphasizes. “SOPs are our backbone. They ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.”

An Expanding Clientele

Ducotech’s reputation is best reflected in its impressive clientele. From Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (HCCB) to Uflex Ltd., Perfetti Ltd., Supreme Industries, Wavestay Infra, and many more, Ducotech has partnered with giants across sectors.

Some of the recently completed projects speak volumes of the company’s capabilities:

  • ATL Batteries (Industry, Chinese): ₹240 million
  • Waverly Infra (Industrial Township): ₹75.5 million
  • Brake Parts India: ₹79 million
  • HCCB Bhopal – HF Line: ₹98 million
  • Haldiram Nepal: ₹43.1 million
  • Bhartiyam Beverages: ₹73 million

On an average, Ducotech executes 10–12 projects simultaneously across India, with a remarkable record of delivering over 95% projects on time and retaining more than 90% of its clients since inception.

“Clients are the true strength of any company,” Singh says with pride. “We’ve built long-term relationships because they trust us not just for quality, but for our commitment.”

The People Behind the Success

Every successful company is powered by its people, and Ducotech is no exception. Today, the company employs 250 dedicated professionals, including 20 Project Engineers. Remarkably, 70% of the employees have stayed since inception, a rare achievement in today’s competitive job market.

This loyalty is rooted in the culture that Singh and his team have nurtured. His wife, Shobha manral singh, plays a crucial role in managing HR, Administration, and Finance, ensuring that the organization remains people-friendly and process-driven.

“I always say success is not mine alone,” Singh reflects. “It’s a mix of hard work, family support, God’s grace, and the trust of customers and employees. Without them, Ducotech would not be where it is today.”

A Commitment Beyond Business

For Singh, success is not just about revenues or project completions—it’s also about giving back to society. Through the ABB Foundation, Ducotech is actively involved in CSR initiatives supporting the education of underprivileged children.

“Business should not only focus on profits,” he insists. “We must also share our growth with those who are less fortunate. Education is the foundation of progress, and supporting children gives me immense satisfaction.”

Lessons from the Journey

In just a few years, Singh has emerged as a respected name in the MEP industry, and his story has lessons for aspiring entrepreneurs.

  1. Experience Matters
“No matter which field you choose, experience is a must,” Singh advises. “It teaches you what textbooks cannot. It prepares you to handle real-world challenges.”
  2. Humility is Strength
Despite his achievements, Singh remains grounded. “One should always be humble and kind,” he says. “Success should never make you arrogant. People respect leaders who are approachable.”
  3. Take Risks
His entrepreneurial leap during the pandemic stands as proof of his belief: “Take risks. Even if you fail, you will gain experience that will help you in the future. Failure is not the end—it’s a stepping stone.”

Ducotech’s Future Roadmap

Looking ahead, Ducotech is determined to continue its upward trajectory. With expansion into manufacturing LT Panels and gensets, the company is preparing to diversify its offerings and achieve its ambitious ₹500 crore target in five years.

Ducotech is also committed to sustainability. By ensuring minimal environmental impact during projects and prioritizing occupational health and safety, the company aims to set new industry benchmarks.

“Growth should be responsible,” Singh notes. “We cannot ignore the environment or the well-being of our workforce. At Ducotech, we balance growth with responsibility.”

The Man Behind the Vision

At the heart of this remarkable journey is a man who dared to dream big and worked tirelessly to turn it into reality. From being a young engineer to building one of India’s fastest-growing MEP companies, Mr. Kunwar Vikram Singh’s story is an inspiration for many aspiring entrepreneurs.

His philosophy is simple yet powerful: hard work, humility, faith, and the courage to take risks.

As he puts it: “I dedicate my success to my hard work, my family, God’s grace, and my customers. It’s a mix of all these things that has brought Ducotech to where it is today.”
